It seems that our victory in Iraq is having repercussions in the Islamist world. Some of bin Laden's former mentors and collaborators are turning on him publicly because over their brutal and now unsuccessful campaign in Iraq. The unintended clash with al Qaeda in Iraq has put us on the right side of democracy and decency and it is beginning to pay off.
