A round up of polls on Iraq. The striking thing is how little the polls have moved in spite of the tremendous changes on the ground. The percentage of Americans that thing Iraq will never become a stable democracy is an extraordinarily depressing 61%. What have the Iraqis done to deserve such pessimism? I suspect that it is this belief that drives all the other bad numbers. the major achievement of the terrorists, insurgents and liberals has been to convince the American public that Arabs are unfit for democracy.
